Books
The Avenging of the Apostles & Prophets (491 pp, hb) - Arthur Ogden $24.95
Teaches the pre-70 date of the book of Revelation. Excellent commentary
on Revelation. Shows how it was mostly fulfilled by the time Jerusalem
was destroyed in A.D. 70, and documents the fulfillments using Josephus
and other historical sources. Ogden is not a Full Preterist, but approaches
Revelation from a mostly preterist perspective. There is a workbook that
goes with this. (New Third Edition)
The
Avenging of the Apostles & Prophets (wkbk) (112 pp, pb) - Arthur Ogden $4.95
This is the workbook that goes with the commentary by the same name above.
Only $3.95 if purchased with the textbook above. Teaches a pre-70
date of the book of Revelation. Excellent workbook for getting a thorough
grasp
of the book of Revelation. Shows how it was mostly fulfilled by the time
Jerusalem was destroyed in A.D. 70, and documents the fulfillments using
Josephus and other historical sources. Ogden approaches Revelation from
a mostly preterist perspective.
Babylon
- The Great City of Revelation (234 pp, pb) - Joseph Balyeat $9.95
Reformed author in the same vein as Ken Gentry showing that Revelation
was written before AD 70, and that the Great City doomed for destruction
can be no other than the first century city of Jerusalem. Intended to
be a companion to David Chilton's The Great Tribulation and Ken Gentry's
The Beast of Revelation. Discusses the implications of the preterist
view for the Christian today.
Beast
of Revelation (246 pp, pb) - Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr. $19.95
This along with Gentry's bigger book, Before Jerusalem Fell (avail. here),
is one of the best defenses for the early date of Revelation in print.
Also teaches the Beast in Revelation is Nero, instead of a Jewish entity
as some other preterists teach. Vanderwaal's book against Hal
Lindsey presents the Jewish concept of the Beast. It is available
through IPA as well.
Before
Jerusalem Fell (409 pp, pb) - Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr. $19.95
The most significant defense of the early pre-AD 70 date of the book
of Revelation in print. This will be one of the classics. Thoroughly
and
convincingly answers all the futurist arguments for a post-AD 70 date.
Shows that most (if not all) of the book of Revelation was fulfilled
by
the time Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70. Newly revised.
If you have the former edition, you will want this revised one too!
Behind the Veil of Moses (448 pp, pb) - Brian L. Martin $19.95
Exposes the fallicies of the Premil. Disp. view, along with a clear presentation of the Biblical evidence for the AD 70 fulfillments. Covers a lot of ground on crucial topics and texts, including: date of Rev., this generation, apocalyptic lang., Matt. 24, 70 weeks of Daniel, millennium, resurrection, rapture, and the implications for us today.
Beyond
the End Times (308 pp, pb) - John
Noe $19.95
Second Edition now has a Scripture Index. Shows why the Futurist
predictions of a soon end of the world are absolutely mistaken.
Written for easy reading. Excellent addition to the growing list
of Preterist books dealing with the implications of the past fulfillment
view. We are living "Beyond The End Times." Answers
many of those "What Now?" questions.
Biblical
Apocalyptics (513 pp, pb) - Milton S. Terry $44.95
A classic study of the figurative and apocalyptic language used in Scripture,
especially in the Old Testament prophets. Takes a preterist approach
to most of Biblical prophecy using solid Biblical principles of interpretation.
Especially helpful in the area of interpreting symbolic and apocalyptic
language.
Biblical Hermeneutics (2nd Edition) (782 pp, pb) - Terry S. Milton $59.95
A classic hermeneutics manual first printed in 1883. This reprint of the second edition contains numerous enhancements, especially in the area of prophetic interpretation. Used in most seminary hermeneutics courses throughout the last century. Takes a preterist approach to most of Biblical prophecy. Especially helpful in the area of interpreting symbolic and apocalyptic language. Material here you will not find anywhere else.
Blast From the Past (40 pp, pb) - Don Preston $5.95
Subtitled "The Truth About Armageddon." Futurist prophecy "experts" on TV, radio, in print, and on the Internet are saying the final battle with Gog and Magog is just about to happen. Preston uses keen logic and Biblical exposition to prove that the Blast is actually Past.
The
Book of Enoch (154 pp, pb) - R. H. Charles, translator $19.95
Fine example of the "apocalyptic" style of writings commonly
read in the synagogues and churches of the first two centuries BC and
AD. Jude quotes from it as if it was both well-known and useful. The
highly
symbolic language used in Enoch is almost identical to that found in
such Biblical books as Daniel and Revelation. Helps one understand this
style
of writing and interpret it.
Can
God Tell Time? (24 pp, pb) - Don Preston $2.95
New Edition! Enlarged and Enhanced! The Time of Fulfillment
is one of the two most important issues in the study of Last Things.
The
Nature of Fulfillment is the other. This tract deals with the NT time
statements and shows why it is not only reasonable but necessary to
believe
they mean exactly what they say. Answers the futurist arguments using
2 Pet. 3:8. You will want to have a bunch of these tracts to give to
your
friends.
Can
You Believe Jesus Said This? (24 pp, pb) - Don Preston $2.95
Discusses the return of Christ and associated Final Judgment dealt with
in Matt. 16:27,28 - "For the Son of Man is about to come ... with
His angels; and will then recompense every man ... some of those who
are
standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man
coming ..." If the judgment and Christ's return did not occur,
there is a serious integrity problem with Jesus and the NT writers.
Case
Dismissed (73 pp, pb) - Randall Otto
$7.95
Two scholarly papers. One reviews R. C. Sproul's book, The Last
Days According To Jesus, showing its inconsistency. The second
refutes charges of heresy that partial preterists have pushed against
Preterism.
Powerful defense of the Preterist view against creedalism and traditionalism.
Come
Out of Her My People (208 pp, pb) - Janice Leonard $9.95
A commentary on the book of Revelation from a covenantal perspective.
Just as Israel was called out of Egypt to form a new nation just before
Egypt was destroyed, so was the new covenant nation of true Israel called
out of the old covenant-breaking nation just before its destruction
in
AD 70. A unique covenantal and fully preterist approach to Revelation.
Commentary
on NT from Talmud & Hebraica (4-vol., 300+ pgs ea., hb) - John Lightfoot $69.95
John Lightfoot sat on the Westminster Assembly and was reputed to be
the foremost Hebraicist of his day. In this 4-volume set he shows how
a knowledge
of Jewish history and tradition sheds tremendous light on the NT. Many
splendid insights and preterist statements can be found here. Highly
recommended.
The
Corinthian Catastrophe (62 pp, pb) - G. E. Gardiner $7.95
Shows the charismatic gifts were signs to Israel that she was about to
collapse, as well as miraculous provision to help the church through
its
most vulnerable period. Once the church was fully established and Jerusalem
was destroyed at 70 AD, the gifts ceased. Also teaches that all the
books
of the NT were written by 70 AD. Gardiner, a Baptist minister, was formerly
charismatic.
Daniel
- Fulfilled Prophecy (202 pp, pb) - Jessie E. Mills, Jr. $12.95
Verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter commentary on the book of Daniel.
Lots of excellent historical and exegetical insights. From a fully consistent
Preterist perspective. Every serious student of Daniel's prophecies needs
to have this book in their library. Easy to understand for every Bible
student, yet rich in content for scholars and serious students of Daniel. This is the companion volume to his commentary on Revelation entitled: Revelation Survey and Research. Both available here.
Day
and the Hour (354 pp, pb) - Francis Gumerlock
$17.95
Subtitled, "Christianity's Perennial Fascination with Predicting
the End of the World." A catalog of over 600 failed prophecies over the past 2,000 years. Exposes the erroneous predictions, dreams and delusions
of all who believed their religious group would experience the end
of the
world in their generation.
Dead
In Their Tracks (88 pp, pb) - John Noe
$9.95
This book shows how the preterist view has the "only solution"
to the liberal/skeptic attack on the Bible. Very powerful evidence
supporting the past fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.
Destruction of Jerusalem (69 pp, pb) - George Peter Holford $6.95
Subtitled, "An Absolute and Irresistible PROOF of the Divine Origin of Christianity." Written in 1805. Holford uses ancient and modern historians to document the fulfillment of all the events predicted in Matthew 24 and explain the tremendous significance of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Front cover has David Roberts' famous 1839 painting of the Destruction of Jerusalem.
Early Church & End of the World (180 pp, hb) - Gary DeMar & Francis Gumerlock $19.95
Tommy Ice claims on pp. 37-39 of his book, The End Times Controversy, "...that there is not one shred of evidence that anyone in the first century understood...that Jesus returned in the first century." DeMar and Gumerlock have done all preterists a huge favor by producing numerous "shreds of evidence" from first century Christians. Tommy Ice must be "eating crow" now. (Retail $24.95 Special Price $19.95)
Elements Shall Melt With Fervent Heat (300 pp, pb) - Don Preston $19.95
New Enhanced Version of Preston's previous book on 2 Peter 3. Powerful new argumentation. Shows that 2nd Peter 3 deals with the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem, rather than a future cataclysmic end of the universe; and that the New Heaven and Earth is the unshakable spiritual Kingdom of Christ that is now here. Preston deals masterfully with the symbolic language in this difficult chapter to show its fulfillment in the events of A.D. 70.
Eusebius'
Ecclesiastical History (477 pp, hb) - C. F. Cruse,
trans. $16.95
Best historical information about people & events shaping the Church
in 1st three centuries. Quotes both Christian & non-Christian
sources. Shows different interpretations of prophecy already
in the 2nd century, repudiates millennialists, and recommends figurative
approach. Interprets Matt. 24 as referring to AD 70, and quotes
Josephus to document it.
Everyman's
Talmud (405 pp, pb) - Abraham Cohen $17.95
The finest one-volume "Reader's Digest" of rabbinical literature
in print. If you want to know what the Jews of Jesus' day believed about
the Messiah and His Kingdom, this is the place. Superb source for background
information about the culture, language, history and politics of Judaism
in the first century. Sheds much light on the Temple, sacrifices, and
festivals of the Old Testament.
Expectations
Demand a First Century Rapture (158 pp, pb) - Ed Stevens $10.95
The first book from a Preterist in this generation teaching a literal rapture
of all true Christians at the time of the Parousia in AD 66-70. Five scholars
a century ago (J. S. Russell, Milton S. Terry, Richard Weymouth, William S. Urmy,
and Ernest Hampden-Cook) took a similar view. This book takes their somewhat
sketchy theory and fully develops it. Includes answers to all the major
objections and a phrase-by-phrase grammatical analysis of the rapture text (1
Thess. 4:13-18). Ground-breaking new work. The "next wave" in
Preterism! Walt Hibbard, Arthur Melanson, and many others
join with Stevens in offering this theory for your consideration.
First Corinthians Fulfilled (238 pp, pb) - Jessie E. Mills, Jr. $13.95
The first verse-by-verse commentary on the whole book of First Corinthians written from a consistent Preterist (past-fulfillment) perspective. ...defends the continuing observance of the Lord's Supper after AD 70, the distinctive roles of men and women, the continuing relevance and value of the local and universal church, the cessation of the charismata in AD 70. Jessie Mills takes an "individual body" approach to the resurrection, very similar to the views of Ed Stevens, Dan Harden, and Dave Curtis.
Forcing
God's Hand (166 pp, pb) - Grace Halsell $14.95
Subtitled, "Why Millions Pray for a Quick Rapture -- and Destruction
of Planet Earth." A great exposé of the strange marriage
of convenience between the US Christian Right and Israel. Neither
likes the other - but they use one another. Exposes Falwell's
Christian Tours as having only one purpose: to raise money for
Falwell and Israel.
Glorious
Return of Jesus Christ (90
pp, pb) - Jimmy Henry $7.95
Great introduction to the Preterist view from a Baptist pastor.
Explains his own struggle with prophecy. Gives interpretative guidelines.
Prints out all scriptures so the reader doesn't have to look them up.
Excellent material on the problem of timing. Keys to interpreting
Revelation. Exhortations to avoid the traps of tradition.
Great
Tribulation - Past or Future? (224 pp,
pb) - Tommy Ice & Ken
Gentry $12.95
A debate between a partial preterist (Ken Gentry) and a Pre-Trib Premillennialist
(Tommy Ice). Provides many clear insights into the inconsistencies,
strengths and weaknesses of both views, and reveals how really superior
the Preterist view is to both of the views being defended here.
Hal
Lindsey & Biblical Prophecy (139 pp, pb) - Cornelius Vanderwaal $9.95
Excellent presentation of basic preterist approach from a reformed covenant
perspective. Much material here to combat premillennial futurist ideas
and showing the validity of interpreting much of Revelation figuratively.
Also teaches that the Beast and the Harlot of the book of Revelation
were
both Jewish. Much food for thought here by a well-qualified Dutch Reformed
scholar and covenant theologian.
Have
Heaven & Earth Passed Away? (35 pp, pb) - Don Preston $4.95
Subtitled: A Study of Matt. 5:17,18. Shows why it's inconsistent to believe
OT Law is no longer fully binding if the old "Heaven and Earth"
have not passed away. Shows the Old Heaven and Earth was the OT temple
system, and that the New Heaven and Earth is the Kingdom of Christ (the
Church) which is already here. The Law was fulfilled completely by the
time Jerusalem fell in 70 AD.
Hebrews:
Covenants in Contrast (90 pp, pb) - Eugene Fadeley $8.95
Survey of the book of Hebrews from a preterist perspective. Perfect
quarterly Bible Class study book. Thirteen Lessons. Study
questions at the end of each chapter. Examines some of the typological
significance of Christ’s work on the cross and His work in the Heavenly
Temple to complete atonement.
Hell
On Trial (258 pp, pb) - Robert A. Peterson $14.95
One of the best three books I have found on the subject of Eternal Conscious
Punishment (Hell). Thorough examination of the subject through
the Old and New Testaments, as well as Church History. Clearly
refutes the error of Universalism and Annihilationism. Great
companion book to Gerstner's more topical study.
House
Divided (411 pp, hb) - Greg Bahnsen & Kenneth Gentry $14.95
Shows the tremendous confusion existing within futurist views of prophecy,
and the superior consistency of the preterist approach. Excellent for
pastors and theological students caught up in Pre-Trib Rapture theology
or similar Premil Dispensational theories. Excellent material on the
optimistic
preterist worldview. Includes a response to Hal Lindsey's book, The
Road To Holocaust.
How
To Understand the Bible (149 pp, pb) - Robert Palmer
$13.95
Many of us have never been taught how to study the Bible, nor what tools are
available to make that study easy and meaningful. This book does just that.
Shows how
every book of the Bible relates to God’s plan of redemption. Shows what
concordances and other Bible study tools are available and how to use them.
An extremely helpful tool for Bible Interpretation.
I
Will Be Their God (159 pp, pb) - Janice Leonard $9.95
Subtitled, "Understanding The Covenant." Traces the
covenant theme throughout the Scripture. Builds a covenantal framework
for understanding
the Plan of Redemption and eschatology. Gives a more thorough grasp
of the continuity between Old and New Covenants, and a deeper appreciation
of the work of Christ for His chosen covenant people.
In Flaming Fire (30 pp, pb) - Don Preston $5.95
Little known time text -- 2 Thess. 1:7-8! Paul promised that Christ would come "in flaming fire" to crush their persecutors and relieve those saints in Thessalonica who were being persecuted. Did that relief ever come in their lifetime (as Paul promised)? If it did, then Christ's return has occurred!
Incredible Scofield (394 pp, pb) - Joe Canfield $23.95
New paperback edition. Most Bible students have heard of the Scofield Ref. Bible, and may even own one. But few have read anything about Scofield. This well-researched and documented book reveals his questionable character. Loraine Boettner says this exposé is so powerful that “if dispensationalists would read it carefully, perhaps half of them would turn from that system.”
Into
All The World, Then Comes The End (139 pp, pb) - Don Preston $12.95
One of the key signs of the nearness of Christ's return mentioned in
Matthew 24 is the preaching of the gospel "into all the world." This
book presents the NT evidence to show that the Great Commission was
accomplished
before Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70.
Israel
1948 Countdown to Nowhere (47 pp, pb) - Don Preston $5.95
Preston applies his keen logic to show that the return of the Jews to
the land of Israel in 1948 was not the fulfillment of end-time prophecy.
Those prophecies were fulfilled in the establishment of the "better
things" in Christ and the Church, and in the destruction of the
old physical temple system at AD 70.
Israel and the Nations (258 pp, pb) - F. F. Bruce $23.95
Superb study of Biblical history, especially from the Babylonian captivity down to the second destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Numerous lists of kings and rulers, charts, maps, photos, and illustrations. You will constantly refer back to it as you study Jewish and Christian history. Indispensible for getting a grasp of the intertestamental period. The charts alone in the back of the book are worth the price!
Josephus:
The Complete Works (1144 pp) - William
Whiston, trans. $21.95-pb, $26.95-hb
New enhanced edition. Get a grip on the historical context of the
first century out of which the NT came. Includes both the Antiquities
of the Jews and The Wars. Invaluable in tracing the course of the Jewish
revolt and Jerusalem's final destruction in AD 70. Tells the story in
literal language which the book of Revelation presents in symbolic and
apocalyptic imagery. Must reading for serious Bible students. New
edition. Easier to read with commentary & illustrations by
Paul Maier.
Josephus
- The Essential Works (416 pp, hb) - Paul L. Maier $27.95
Reader's digest version of Josephus' Antiquities and The Jewish War.
Maps, pictures, charts, and diagrams, along with a modern translation.
Essential
for a clear grasp of first century history, especially regarding AD 70.
Makes historical context of the NT come alive. Same as The Essential
Writings,
except all illustrations have been enhanced and colorized.
The
Last Days According to Jesus (253 pp, pb) - R. C. Sproul, Sr. $16.95
R. C. Sproul's much-anticipated defense of the partial preterist view.
He has long recommended J. S. Russell's book on the Parousia. This
volume identifies the differences between partial and full preterists.
Sproul's major objection against full preterism is the resurrection.
One of the most significant preterist books yet. Sure to fuel an
even more extensive debate.
Last Days Identified (138pp, pb) - Don Preston $11.95
The blockbuster
success of the "Left Behind" books and videos have deepened the fear in millions of Christians that we today are living in the Last Days. Preston shows clearly from the Bible that the Last Days already ended at AD 70 when Jerusalem was destroyed. We no longer dread the future, but embrace it with optimism. This book is liberating and encouraging for those who have been lost in the fearful forest of futurism!
Last
Days Madness (455 pp, pb) - Gary DeMar $19.95
The modern church is obsessed with end-time prophecy. By failing to grasp
the original intent, much hysteria, disillusionment, and even defection
from the Christian faith has resulted. DeMar's newly expanded book shows
how the pre-trib rapture worldview paralyzes Christianity and destroys
its productive influence in the world. Positive, optimistic and dominion-oriented
worldview.
Leaving the Rapture Behind (23 pp, pb) - Don Preston $4.95
Preston proves Lahaye's Pre-Trib "Left Behind" view is totally wrong on its timing of the "rapture." Even preterist "literal rapture" advocates will find much here to agree with, as well as some things to differ on. But the debate is healthy for the cause of truth.
The
Messiah's Return (71 pp, pb) - Timothy James $6.95
Shows how futurist views of eschatology are inconsistent and undermine
the integrity of Scripture. Presents the clear teaching of the NT that
Christ's return was imminent in the first century. Careful look at the
eschatology of Luke to repudiate the various liberal attempts to side-step
the TIME statements. Shows why the Delay, non-occurrence, and double-fulfillment
ideas are not adequate.
The
Parousia (608 pp, pb) - James
Stuart Russell $19.95
The classic defense of the Preterist view. Written
a century
ago
(1878), it
examines
each
NT
book,
analyzes
the doctrine of the second coming, and concludes that Christ returned in AD
70. Includes a survey and interpretation of the book of Revelation. New forewords
by Walt Hibbard and Ed Stevens, as well as the original "Afterword" that
Russell added to his second
edition.
Contains
a picture of Russell and a biographical sketch about him. This is the book
which most profoundly influenced David Chilton to take the preterist view.
Endorsements
on the back by Walt Hibbard, Gary DeMar, Ken Gentry and R. C. Sproul, Sr.
No serious student of eschatology should be without it. (Get one FREE with an order of $40 or more)
Perilous
Times (174 pp, pb) - Ken Gentry
$13.95
Foreword by R. C. Sproul, Sr. Subtitled "A Study In Eschatological
Evil." A study of Daniel's Abomination of Desolation, Wars
& Tribulation in Matthew 24, Man of Lawlessness in 2 Thess. 2, the
Beast and Great City Babylon of Revelation from a partial preterist
view.
Much useful information.
Promise
of His Coming (223 pp, pb) - Richard & Janice Leonard $13.95
Subtitled, "Interpreting New Testament Statements Concerning the
Time of Christ's Appearance." Discusses the merits and implications
of three different possible approaches to the Time statements: 1) They
were wrong, 2) They really didn't mean what they seem, or 3) The Parousia
really occurred in AD 70 just like the NT time statements indicated.
Discusses
the creedal issue.
Prophecy:
The Year 2000 and Beyond? (92 pp, pb) - Eugene Fadeley $8.95
An excellent introduction to the Preterist view and its major implications.
Written in very easy-to-read language. Makes study of Bible prophecy
easier.
Also deals somewhat with the timing issues and the date-setters, and
discusses the current interest in the year 2000 from a Preterist perspective.
Great
choice for those just beginning to look at the preterist viewpoint.
Questions
About The Afterlife (52 pp, pb) - Ed
Stevens $6.95
We asked Gary DeMar what it is about the Preterist view that he has the
most difficulty with. He submitted five excellent questions about
the resurrection, the afterlife, and the nature of our resurrection
bodies,
which we feel are very relevant. Presents the same "Immortal
Body at Death" view of the resurrection that Curtis, Davies, Harden, Hibbard, and Noe
are teaching. The BEST preterist book on the resurrection.
Redating
The New Testament (369 pp, pb) - John A. T. Robinson $36.95
An unusually conservative attempt to prove that every one of the books
in our New Testament were written before AD 70, from a somewhat liberal
theologian who is nevertheless a first-rate scholar. He dates all
the NT books as pre-70 because, "...the single most datable and
climactic event of the period (the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70) is
never once mentioned [in the NT] as a past fact."
Results
of Fulfilled Prophecy (198 pp, pb) - Jessie
E. Mills, Jr.
$12.95
Presents a lot of preterist material from a topical approach. From
a Church of Christ author who has been promoting the past fulfillment
of prophecy since the 1950's. Wrote feature articles for our newsletter
back in the 1980's. Takes a very similar view of the resurrection
as Stevens, Noe, Hibbard, Curtis and Harden. Many excellent ideas
not found anywhere else. Published by IPA.
Revelation Survey and Research (295 pp, pb) - Jessie E. Mills, Jr. $15.95
First full commentary on the whole book of Revelation from a fully consistent preterist. Lots of historical and exegetical insights, including evidence from the Syriac and the Targums. Every serious student of prophecy needs to have this. This is the second volume in a two-part series on Daniel-Revelation. Be sure to get both volumes, available here. His book on Daniel is titled, "Daniel - Fulfilled Prophecy."
Seal
Up Vision & Prophecy (97 pp, pb) - Don Preston $6.95
New Revised Third Edition! Deals with the "Seventy Weeks" of Daniel 9:24-27. Shows how
Daniel's vision was fulfilled by the events surrounding Christ and His
generation leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. Explains
the implications of that fulfillment for redemptive history, including
the cessation of further prophecy. Preston builds his arguments in an
easy to grasp style.
The
Second Coming - Postponed or Fulfilled? (111
pp, pb) - Arthur Melanson $9.95
Great preterist insights covering many of the most frequently asked
questions and objections to the preterist view, from his Vest Pocket
series, newsletter
articles, radio lessons, and his own deep study of God's Word. Shows
the Second Coming occurred in the first century just like the NT writers
predicted. Full
of practical insights that will fill you with the Joy of the Lord.
Seventy Weeks are Determined for The Resurrection! (214 pp, pb) - Don Preston $17.95
Uses Daniel's Prophecy of Seventy Weeks (Daniel 9:24-27) to prove the Time of the Resurrection was at the end of the Seventy Weeks (AD 70). This is an even more advanced version of the extremely powerful material that Preston presented in our debate against two Amils in New York City. Forces futurists to place the Time of the resurrection at AD 70, no matter what they do with the Nature of it. Scripture and Topical Indexes.
Shattering
The Left Behind Delusion (153 pp, pb) - John
Noe $12.95
Discusses the fallacies of the Pre-Trib Rapture viewpoint, and the individual
implications of the "general resurrection" in AD 70 from the
"Immortal Body at Death" viewpoint. Same view of the
resurrection as taught by Curtis, Davies, Harden, Hibbard, and Stevens. Excellent
material that answers many of the tough questions Sproul and other partial
preterists
are asking.
Stevens Response to Gentry (114 pp, pb) - Ed Stevens $10.95
A preterist response to Ken Gentry's 12-point postmil "Analysis" of the preterist view. Covers the creeds, the resurrection, early church writers, hermeneutics, Acts 1:11, and many other issues. A good brief introduction to the "Incorruptible Body at Death" resurrection view before reading the more detailed explanation of the resurrection in Stevens' other book, Questions About The Afterlife.
Stone
of Zoheleth (441 pp, pb) - Eileen Polsky $24.95
Extremely interesting and captivating preterist novel. Draws from non-fictional Josephus and other non-fictional historians to build its fictional characters and plots. Incredible insights into first century culture. Gives a whole new perspective and greater appreciation for audience relevance. Will probably be a movie someday!
Taken to Heaven in A.D. 70 (335 pp, pb) - Ian Harding $15.95
Harding examines every NT text that says anything about what the first century Christians EXPECTED to experience at the Parousia. He exhaustively proves from scripture that those saints not only expected to KNOW when Jesus returned, but to see, hear, and experience it in a literally TRANSFORMING way (by being "changed" and "caught up" into the air to meet with Jesus at His descent from heaven at the Parousia). If you are looking for a book which argues the case for a literal rapture in AD 70 strictly from Scripture, this is it! A "must read" for all preterists!
Time
Is At Hand (138 pp, pb) - Jay Adams $11.95
Defends a partial preterist view of eschatology against premillennialism.
Includes studies of both Revelation 20 (the proof text of the Premils),
and Matthew 24 (with parallels). Deals especially with the
imminency TIME texts in the book of Revelation to show how they demand
an early date of writing and a first century application. For a
book written over 30 years ago, it contains an amazing amount of Preterist
material.
The
Time of Christ's Return (24 pp, pb) - Albert R. Pigeon $2.95
Pocket-size tract with no commentary. Has 21 different scriptures with
questions to answer about each verse. No answers given. Sixteen review
questions at the end. Good to give to anyone willing to study the Bible
objectively and discover what it means on their own. Lets scripture
interpret
scripture.
What
To Do While Waiting for the Rapture (45 pp, mss size) - Albert R. Pigeon $9.95
Quiz Book. Subtitled, "A fun, easy, do-it-yourself course on the
Return of Christ." Chock full of good humor as it subtly and not-so-subtly
critiques the futurist approach to prophecy and persuasively builds
the
case for the preterist view. A "must give" to all your futurist
friends who have a healthy sense of humor and are willing to have their
prophetic views challenged.
Who
Do You Say I AM?
(58 pp, mss size) - Ed Stevens $9.95
Study of the Deity of Christ and the Trinity. Discusses meaning of "Son
of God," Christ's pre-existence as eternally-begotten Son, necessity
of the incarnation for atonement, implications of the virgin-birth
for
His Deity, impeccability of Christ, worshipping Christ, and other proofs.
Shows why the Deity of Christ is essential for fellowship in Christ.
Totally refutes unitarian arguments.
Who Is This Babylon? (337 pp, pb) - Don Preston $19.95
New Expanded Second Edition. Proves that Jerusalem is the harlot city "Babylon" mentioned in the book of Revelation. Explains the tight connection between Revelation, Matthew 24, and Paul's eschatology. Powerful exposition of the Apocalypse, especially on the "Jerusalem" identity of Babylon. Proves Revelation was written before and fulfilled by the Destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Best defense of the 40-year millennium theory I have ever seen. One of Preston's most powerful books ever.

Covenant
Eschatology Symposium
- about
a dozen speakers
(MP3 (24 tracks) - $23.76 + storage or 24 Audio Tapes - $100)
This is the complete set of tapes from the Jan. 1993 Covenant Eschatology Symposium
in Orlando Florida where Max & Tim King met with R.C. Sproul and about a dozen other Reformed
scholars to discuss preterist eschatology. You will want to listen to these
spirited interactions between futurist, partial preterist, and preterist theologians.
The contrast really helps clarify what the real issues and problems are, especially
for Reformed theology.
6 Day Creation & Worldwide Flood - Ed
Stevens
(MP3 (5 tracks) - $4.95 + storage or 3 Audio tapes - $15.00)
Preterism certainly challenges traditional views of Bible Prophecy, so it should
not be surprising that other related doctrines will need to be reexamined.
The literal 6-day creation and global flood are examples. These lessons focus
on
the Biblical
text to show what it actually teaches. The ideas of a
literal 6-day creation and a global flood are reaffirmed as true and in perfect
harmony with Preterism.
Debate & Seminar - Bristol, CT 2006 - Frost, Hartley, Blore, Grace, Bradfield, & Stevens
Debate & Seminar held in Bristol, Connecticut on Aug. 4-5, 2006. The debate on "The Timing and Nature of the Resurrection of the Dead" was between Sam Frost (Preterist) and Kevin Hartley (Futurist). The seminar covered the topics: Matt. 16:27-28 (Eric Blore), Church Age & Age To Come and Church is Spiritualized Judaism (Mike Grace), Acts 1:11 (Jason Bradfield), Last Days & Age To Come (Ed Stevens), and the Resurrection (Sam Frost). Outstanding lessons, plus some interesting Q&A sessions for all preterists to enjoy. Four of the seminar lessons used overhead projection or white board, so there is an added benefit for those who choose one of the video formats above.
Debate
- Noe vs. Ice - John
Noe vs. Tommy Ice
(MP3 CD (3 tracks) - $2.97 + storage or 2 Audio tapes - $10)
Debate between Preterist John Noe and Futurist Tommy Ice held in Indianapolis
on Nov. 11, 1999. Ninety minutes of interaction. Both men stick
with their outlines and present a good summary of their own view and why they
believe the other is mistaken. Interesting exchange!
Debate
- Preterist vs. Amil. - Preston/Stevens vs. Hartley/George
(MP3 (8 tracks) - $7.92 + storage or 4 Audio tapes in album - $25)
Two Preterists (Don Preston & Ed Stevens) debated two Amillennialists
(Kevin Hartley & Gary George) in New York on April 6, 2002. The
proposition affirmed by the Preterists: "Jesus
Came in Finality in AD 70?" Four major and four minor presentations,
plus audience interaction with the speakers at the end. Both
sides present their positions well, and explain what they see as weaknesses
in their opponents' position. The Amils asked the Preterists why the
Preterist view of the Resurrection should not be considered heretical.
You will want to hear the Preterist reply!
Debate
- Stevens vs. Hicks - Ed Stevens vs. Olan Hicks
(MP3 (3 tracks) - $2.92 + storage or 2 Audio tapes - $10)
Debate held July 5, 1991 in West Memphis, Arkansas. Ed Stevens affirms the
full preterist view. Olan Hicks is a Church of Christ preacher who takes a
traditional amillennial futurist position. Looks at several of the key issues
and texts in eschatology, including the time statements, the AD 70 coming of
Christ, Matthew 24 and the book of Revelation.
Early
Church & The Creeds - Hibbard, Davies, Stevens
(MP3 (4 tracks) - $3.96 + storage or 4 Audio tapes in album - $25)
How did the early church miss the fulfillment of eschatology in AD 70?
Who made the mistakes, when and why? Does the preterist view conflict
with the great ecumenical creeds of the undivided church? Can the creeds
be mistaken? How do preterists propose to deal with these extremely
important
and fundamental issues? Four lessons by three speakers.
Implications
and Worldview - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Presentation given at the Nile Christian Church in Nile, New York on October
24, 1999, during the time when much attention was being focused on the impending
end of the second millennium. Preterists offered a positive optimistic long-term worldview
during this time when most Christians were predicting doom and gloom. The implications and optimistic worldview of Preterism. Title
of this lesson was: "Reigning with Christ Beyond Y2K."
Kingdom Parables & AD 70 - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Lecture delivered at the 1989 Covenant Eschatology Seminar in Warren, Ohio. Discusses some of the more obvious parables of Jesus which warned about the soon-coming destruction of Jerusalem in that generation, and proves that Christ's return was inseparably connected with the downfall of the nation at AD 70 (and therefore cannot be still future).
Matthew
24 Cannot Be Divided - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Lecture delivered at the 1989 Covenant Eschatology Seminar in Warren, Ohio.
Presents the chart in the book, What Happened in AD 70?, which proves exegetically
that Matthew 24 is all one united narrative about the Destruction of Jerusalem
in AD 70, and cannot be divided into two sections with one section still future
in fulfillment.
Millennium Presentation - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Study presented in Cincinnati, Ohio in Dec. 2002. Discusses the Judaic and Biblical evidence for a 40-year transition period millennium (AD 26-66). Includes handouts and a chart of the related scriptures and events that occurred throughout this 40-year "millennium" from the beginning of Jesus' ministry down to the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. The handouts and chart alone are worth the price!
Parable of the Tares - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (1 track) - $2.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $7.00)
Who were the Tares? Who was the enemy that sowed them? Who was the good grain that was gathered by the angels? And where was the barn that they were gathered into? The agricultural context of first century Palestine is a significant factor in the interpretation of this parable. Being raised on a wheat farm in Texas, Stevens is able to show what Jesus intended to communicate to his first century Jewish audience by using this grain harvest comparison. Included in the price is an 8-page handout.
Parable of Ten Virgins - Ed Stevens
(MP3 (2 tracks) - $3.95 + storage or 2 Audio tapes - $12.00)
This is one of the most fascinating (but difficult) parables to interpret, even for preterists. What does it teach about the return of Christ and what His saints would experience at His coming? The key is knowing which wedding custom Jesus is alluding to. This is the first time any Preterist has offered this kind of detailed analysis of this parable. If you really want to understand it, this tape set (or MP3) is for you.
Two handouts included: (1) Chart illustrating the actual wedding custom Jesus was alluding to, and (2) Twelve-pages of notes with textual variation analysis, an explanation of the wedding custom, and a verse-by-verse commentary on the parable. The handouts have additional material not mentioned on the tapes.
Passing
of Heaven & Earth - David Chilton
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Two lessons delivered at a Preterist seminar in Oklahoma City after Chilton
had moved all the way into the consistent Preterist view. Shows
how Second Peter Three refers to the fiery end of Judaism in AD 70,
instead
of the end of planet earth. Uses John Owen's excellent material
to prove that the Preterist view of 2 Peter 3 is in accord with Reformed
exegesis. Also explains how Theonomists misinterpret Matthew 5:17-19
and Heb. 8:13.
Radio Co-Host - Bud Fleisher & Ed Stevens
(MP3 (15 tracks) - $14.85 + storage or 15 Audio tapes - $69)
Discussion of many different Preterist topics, plus five interactions with call-in questions and objections. Stevens called long-distance to co-host fifteen radio shows (August thru December 2000) with Bud Fleisher in Clearwater, Florida.
Radio Talk Shows - Stevens & others
(MP3 (6 tracks) - $5.94 + storage or 6 Audio tapes - $30)
Discussion of various Preterist topics. along with (sometimes likely) interaction with listeners questions and objections. Five radio shows with Arthur Melanson (1992-1999) and one with Marty Minto on the Salem radio in Phoenix (Jan. 2000).
Rapture
Radio Studies
- Ed Stevens
(MP3 (4 tracks) - $3.96 + storage or 4 Audio tapes in album - $25)
On his radio show, Arthur Melanson and Ed Stevens discuss the idea
of a literal "snatching
away" of all true Christians at the time of the Second Coming in AD 66-70.
Five preterist scholars a century ago (J.S. Russell, Milton S. Terry, Richard
Weymouth, William S. Urmy, and Ernest Hampden-Cook) took a similar view. Melanson
and Stevens address the most common objections to the literal rapture view.
The "next wave" in Preterism! Walt Hibbard, Arthur Melanson and many
others join with Stevens in offering this for your consideration.
Response to Sproul's Critique - John Noe
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
Noe's presentation at one of the annual meetings of the Evangelical Theological Society soon after Sproul's book, "The Last Days According to Jesus," was published. Noe shows the fallacies and inconsistencies of Sproul's partial preterist position, and responds to Sproul's challenge for an explanation of the resurrection issue.
Resurrection
Study Series
- Ed Stevens
(MP3 (8 tracks) - $7.92 + storage or 6 Audio tapes in album - $35)
Newly edited with even better lessons added in to replace some of the
older ones. Lessons from five different
seminars (Baytown TX, Valley Forge
PA,
Pensacola
FL, Bellmawr
NJ, and Omaha NE).
Extensive survey
of
Ed
Stevens' "individual body" approach to the resurrection. Different from
Max King's "collective
body" position. Teaches a spiritual nature of the individual's
resurrection body, similar to Murray Harris' view in his book, "From
Grave To Glory." For serious students. Same view as Curtis, Davies, Harden, Hibbard, and Noe.
Resurrection
in John 5, 6, & 11
- Ed Stevens
(MP3 (4 tracks) - $3.96 + storage or 2 Audio tapes - $10)
Apostle John records far more of Jesus’ teaching
on the resurrection than any of the other writers of our New Testament. These
two
lessons examine
the connection between “eternal life” and the resurrection, and
analyze the meaning of the Greek word “AION” in relation to both
the Resurrection and the Life. Lessons
delivered at two consecutive monthly fellowship meetings in Rochester, NY in
the summer of 2001.
Rev.
20 & The Millennium - Don
Preston
(MP3 (1 track) - $.99 + storage or 1 Audio tape - $5)
This track is also a part of the series entitled, "Transition Period & Millennium."
These may be the finest lectures you will find anywhere proving that
the "millennium" mentioned in Revelation 20 is the 40-year generation
between AD 30 and AD 70. Preston focuses all of his keen logic,
wit, historical, grammatical, and contextual skills on this question
in
a way
that is extremely powerful and persuasive.
Seminar
- Bellmawr, NJ 1997 - Melanson,
Lewis, Daniels, Stevens
(MP3 (6 tracks) - $5.94 + storage or 6 Audio tapes - $30)
Eschatology seminar in Bellmawr, NJ, Sept. 1997. Speakers include Joe
Lewis, Arthur Melanson, Joe Daniels and Ed Stevens. Shows why the futurist
view is inadequate and how the preterist view is more consistent. Stevens'
lesson, "The Seed Analogy," breaks new ground in the interpretation
of the resurrection. Two excellent Q&A sessions. Good to loan to your
non-preterist friends.
Seminar
- Blue Point, NY 1997 - Chandler,
Daniels, Stevens
(MP3 (7 tracks) - $6.93 + storage or 5 Audio tapes - $25)

Asked Questions" such as: "Why Another View of Prophecy?"

Now?" "The Future of Planet Earth?" If anyone you know
has wondered about these things, this is for you! Also includes
a great Q&A session with many related questions discussed.

of the Future, and a great Q&A session. The second lesson deals with implications

Seminar - Carlsbad, NM 2007 - Simmons, Preston, Dennis, Noe, Stevens
(MP3 (13 tracks) - $22.89 + on 1 MP3 CD or 8 Audio tapes - $48.95)
Kurt Simmons provided some great historical information showing the worldwide impact of the AD 70 eschaton, proving that it was not just a "local" Judean catastrophe, but instead involved the whole Roman world of the first century. His second lesson exposed the logical fallacies of some preterists who have recently moved into a form of Universalism. Don Preston did a masterful job of proving the fulfillment of 2 Peter 3 in AD 70, and exposing one of the most devastating inconsistencies of Dispensational Premillennialism. Todd Dennis' presentation on the implications of the Dead Sea Scrolls for Preterism was superb! It was material I have not seen any preterist ever deal with. That one lesson is worth the price of the whole set! Ed Stevens presented two lessons, the first documenting from Josephus and other historians the historical fulfillment of every event predicted in Matthew 24, and a second lesson dealing with the last twelve critical years leading up to the destruction of Jerusalem (AD 58-70).

& Stevens
(MP3 (5 tracks) - $4.95 + storage or 3 Audio tapes - $15)

all these issues and more. This is the complete set of audio tapes
for this seminar. Newly recorded with a new tape duplicator - much

in the Creeds, and a great Q&A
session.
Transition
Period & Millennium - Ed Stevens & Don Preston
(MP3 (6 tracks) - $5.94 + storage or 6 Audio tapes in album - $35)
This series includes Preston's lesson on "Rev. 20 & Millennium."
No need to get Preston's lesson separately if you are buying this set.
When one reads back through the NT after becoming a Preterist, he immediately
begins to notice some things that no longer apply after AD 70. This naturally
raises the question, "What else no longer applies?" What goes
and what stays, and how do we know? This tape series studies the transition
period (AD 30-70) to discover the answers to these questions. Extremely
vital background study. It also examines the 40-year millennium idea as it was first understood by the Jews in the First Century. Also includes two lessons on Rev. 20 and the millennium by Don Preston, which are the most convincing arguments for a 40-year millennium (AD 30-70) that I have ever heard. (Package includes a millennium chart and two
pages of rabbinical information.)
What
Is The Preterist View? - Stevens,
Curtis, Birks

the Preterist view is new to you, this is just what you are looking for.
Worldview by David Chilton - David Chilton
(MP3 (4 tracks) - $3.96 + storage or 4 Audio tapes - $20)
Lectures delivered in Dallas just months before Chilton moved the rest of the way into a consistent Preterist view.
